You should be sorry, all this happened because of you!
The army post in Anchorage has an indoor paintball field, but it's just too far away. Fairbanks had alot of interesting places to see, but nothing to do.

Anyone know where there is an outlaw field around fairbanks then? Anyone play in -55 or -60? I've shot an assault rifle in -30 and got contact frostbite on my nose. Hard to shoot straight when your body is shivering from the cold. Was not fun. After frostbite I almost shoot from the hip, not even caring about qualifying when it's that cold. Was a good thing getting frostbite too because my co-worker's truck broke down in -55 and I missed that.
There is a sup airball field that's open during the summer on old steese expressway. I don't understand why it's $10 a fill.

yeah... playing paintball in anything below about *20 is pointless. Paintball is not worth frostbite. try the paintballchaos.com forum for more info on fields near fairbanks.

There is not field on the Old Steese. You are thinking the Old Richardson Highway. That's Splatz, he charges $10 a fill because although it has been open for 3 years he still has no clue about paintball. It is there to make money, not for the love of the sport.

The man speaks truth!
That field sucks, but he has about the only public speedball field around the area. Bring your own paint, or take some pretty serious chances (and chops).
And subterfuge: This is the "AK Field thread" not the "Woe is me thread."

Cost: 15 field fee w/allday air......45$ gives you all the needed equipment + 500 paintballs. extra bags of 500 paintballs are 20$ but a case of 2000 paintballs are $60.
During the summer months they have an outdoor hyperball field and during the 8 months of winter they have an indoor speedball field. They have a gunsmith on site and would be willing to custom order you anything you need.
They have flushing toilets and drinks for sale also.

Snowboarding feeds the adrenaline addiction now. I keep hearing rumors about an indoor field in Fairbanks open about the time I was deployed. I looked around, called a few numbers. No dice.

Woe is me there is no constant outlaw paintball fields, and no certified speedball fields around fairbanks is more like it. I need to get a pass to get out of North Star Burough. I came from Florida, where paintball was a sport and was done all year round. The paintball stores are in the mall, or in the plazas and are stocked with more of the high end stuff that I am looking for. The forums are not dead for the state and they have state championships. I guess paintball for me is dead until I get back to Florida.

Went to splatz today while trying to resucitate my angel from not playing for 4 years. There is a for sale sign up and it looks like somebody abandoned a bunch of supairball bunkers in the corner. Not even stored away or secured. I saw a 2 bags of paintballs with dimples in them. I guess they were fresh because they still broke. I wonder if it's going to open again or if it's closed down. It certainly looks like a few people go there to play outlaw, but definitely not clean or organized enough to be a certified field or to be actually open. I went to ACE Hardware also to see if I could fill my tank, because that is where I was told they filled them. It looked like no one worked there, and there was a sign that said on the roof, "Emergency Liquidation." The fence around the building was locked; however, on the internet it said they were open from 8am to 7 pm. I guess it's done for as well. Economy took a big hit while I was in the military I guess.
Even boring Indiana had paintball fields that were opened when it was 40 degrees out, snowing and sleeting.
Am I missing an outlaw field somewhere? I know in Florida there was this guy that made untaxable income from us, just selling cheap paint and air next to a built up playable woodsball field.
I'll be out of here by the end of summer.
