T9 ST vs T9?

Hi guys, I'm just wondering what the difference is between the T9 and the T9 ST. From what I understand the ST has a soft touch bolt? How would I tell if my T9 is an ST or not? Thanks!

correct. the ST identifier stands for "soft touch" referring to the bolt. The way to tell which bolt you have, simply look at the bolt face. The ST bolts will have a clear-ish or red-ish clear rubber button mounted on the face of the bolt in a milled recess. This is to help prevent ball breakage from being hit by a solid metal bolt.

I'll see if i can get some pics up for you tonight if my T9 made it back from Tiberius today.

Though honestly the ST bolt can sometimes cause issues. If the little rubber pad falls off it exposes a sharp edge, breaking way more paint than the older style bolt.

The First Strike upgrade kit changes the bolt back to the pre-ST design.

remove the valve area, and the spring comes out the rear with the bolt

not yet. give it time though. Tech-T might develope something. Though to be honest the FS bolt is pretty nice for what type of gun it is.

An anti-chop bolt like the Lvl10 bolt for the automag would be wonderful for the T9 for us hopper guys.

I happen to have a spare bolt for my T9, I really should start experimenting on the thing. Too many projects, too little time.

So the 9.1 won't have the ST bolt I take it.
