Update on ALL player rankings in the APPA

Chris has updated the APPA rankings for ALL players to reflect their rank using the UCP point system.

What this Means:
You are now ranked whatever it says you are currently ranked - NO PRIOR NEPL history is taken into account when ranking players - UNLESS you have earned points from the system last season (you will see any / ALL your event history in your profile - and those events are what have given you your current standing)

We are using the same earned points system that everyone else in the APPA is using - and each event you play will count towards your rank as well as every team you play with and division you play in. It is a possibility that you will change rank MID SEASON - please follow the mid-season rank chart to keep an eye on your progress.

Ok, I confess.... they paid me 150 pesos and gave me a Bon Jovi coaster set to make it "disappear".

I'm kidding obviously - I am looking into it right now but - is there a specific concern regarding a specific player that I can help with? Or a concern with a team they may have rostered? I can work around it most likely

i lol'ed at jmac.

and as for the score, it was never posted on APPA. none of the players (including myself) has the score in their classification. i believe that our 9th place in Event 1 should be dropped and our 1st from Event 4 added in to the average according to the UCP rules (best 3 scores with worst one dropped).

It's best three while dropping the highest actually. So the first is dropped and then #2,3, and 4 are your score.

it says: your rating is the sum of your 2nd, 3rd and 4th best scores (drop your best one)

In your player profile however - it says:
Your UCP classification rating is the sum of your best three ratings after dropping your last score.

I am going to try and figure this out - BUT if it is the first thing - i don't think that Event 4 will matter - it was a win and it wasn't the only one - so it would be one of the best and therefore dropped - if I am mistaken and it was the only "Win" it would still be the best and - dropped.

The way it reads to me seems like it's saying 2 different things - so again I will look to clarify.

Aside from any missing rosters for teams / players - yes the rank that shows in your profile is the UCP rank - and is what we are using this season going forward... you may see some things you thought were impossible. I have seen them too

Ok so i spoke to Chris - he is working on getting that Event 4 XFire thing taken care of for me - they have the NCPA in Florida this weekend so early next week it should be resolved - and we discussed the whole dropping thing - the answer is:
You drop your best score (which is code for 'first") so your highest score (first in order of finishes) is dropped and your 2nd, 3rd and 4th finishes add up to determine your rank.

It is what Kyle said - but i now feel like i understand it better

okay so basically we should have 2 first place finishes, 7th, and 9th. thats what it is right now.

i find this rule to be stupid as hell, but thats just me.
