Geo turns off by itself.
Alright so i was playing over the weekend and in the middle of the game my geo turned off, So i turned it back on, It turned off again. As soon as i walk off the field i try turning on the geo and it doesnt work. It only turned on when i put the gun to its side or something perfectly fine.(sometimes). Yes the battery is fresh. Plz guys i need help and if you need more details ill be more than happy to tell you.

sounds like a loose connection on the board. Possiblly the battery terminal on the board has a dry solder that is not making a good connection. Do you have another board you can try?

Try bending the battery conector out a little. Don't bend the part that is attached to the board but the stretch the bend thats already there. Hope that is easy enough to understand lol.

I thinlk what Sacred is saying is are the two silver tabs touching the battery properly and are they tight against the battery

i did that and its working again. But i want to make sure its not something else. You think if there was paint on the those to tabs it would do anything??
and at the same time, now that i think about, when i turned the gun to its side it would turn on. So it could of had been the tabs.

prob just find the tabs had bent and were not making contact properly. i dont think paint would have caused that.

Out of interest what version of software are you running on your Geo? You can tell this by pushing and HOLDING the power up button until the version number is displayed...

Another thing to check is that the board screws have not come loose. If they had, it may be allowing the board to lift away from the battery, causing poor contact with the battery.

What brand of battery are you using? If you are paying $1 for a pack of 9v no name batterys from the dollar store this could be the problem. Going cheap on batteries for a $900 gun is an age old problem.

paint on the tabs isnt bad, i mean it wont make a great connection, just make sure you don't get it on the board because it might possibly fry

Your marker may well still be under warranty, so speak to your nearest service centre about getting the board replaced.
