2010 SLG or a 09 SLG UL ?

If you can spare the extra $75, get the UL. Way better marker.

Plastic body of Basic tends to expand and contract around the trigger depending on weather. Happens to mine. Go with UL.

The UL has a plastic trigger frame too, with lots of side-to-side play.

Have you had a chance to handle both guns?

No I Haven't. That's my mistake. I was led to believe it was metal.

The trigger itself is, but the frame is plastic and the grip rubber.

If you're sure you want an SLG, I would definitely lay hands on both guns before you decide between them. The only good reason to fork over the extra $$$ for the UL is if you're absolutely in love with the shape of its frame. Otherwise, it's kind of a waste of money.
