I recommended leaving the bolt pin slot because if you didn't the bolt pin could catch. You can mill in between the slot and bottom tube, like making windows, just leave the slot so it guides the bolt pin in a straight line.
ok i dont think im going to mill it off unless i take it to a machine shop, but could i take a drill press and drill holes on the flat part of the upper tube, you know in between the 2 raised parts on the upper tube
milling beyond the bolt pin slot wont affect the air flow as it is channeled separately through a hole farther forward directly above the valve. but if you cut too far down where the ram assembly sits then you will alter the air flow..
