From a ref's point of view, we do try to keep the field layout equal on both sides but being unable to stake the bunkers makes it difficult as people slide into them and move em around. The weights help but it's not a perfect solution when 150 pounds of player is sliding into fifty pounds of bunker. We're hoping Todd will invest in some more bunkers, he's been working towards making improvements but what we have right now isn't too bad considering the field is just past its first year. The bunkers we have now get the job done, but we're kind of limited in regards to layouts.
From a player's point of view, it's a bit small for 5-man, but it's doable and it's a decent place to go when the weather sucks and you don't want to drive all the way to Omaha or Iowa City. Even during the summer if you just wanna play in a more relaxed environment. If you do want to play against more experienced players, Friday nights seem to be the way to go, and occasionally New Jack will come out on a Sunday morning. Though, once the weather permits, most of the tourney players will be at Archery.
