haha well apparently he has these fantastic hunting techniques so he will hunt us down
I'm thinking of getting a trail camera soon and setting it up. I've never really scouted before because I always followed what my dad does, but I'm starting to do my own stuff now

I never scout. But then again I'm not an avid deer hunter.

I just take my stand out and throw it up where I think deer will come through. I leave a permanant ladder stand in one spot that I never scouted and it brings me deer all season long

But when you scout and put cameras up, you know WHEN they will be there. If my deer are getting to my stand at 7 in the mornin, why go in at 5? Ill go in at 6. And i know when to expect them.

no. I dont wander around the woods I try to track the animals day by day little by little. You just set up a game camera on some trees wait a few weeks go check them and if you saw a nice buck you go set up a stand there and takes around 2 hours of work. Why dont you try going out at 5:30 am finding some fresh tracks and try finding the animal or spot it and go sneaking towards it. Why cause you cant cause your use to sitting down on a stand for 30 minutes and waiting for a buck that you saw on your game camera to pass by.
