Windows Phone 7 Series

In case you guys don't follow tech blogs, today microsoft officially revealed their new phone OS, the 7 Series. It seems to have a very zune hd interface with intergration of obviously the zune and xbox live.

In my opinion Windows Mobile was a dieing OS with the iPhone, Android,BB, and WebOS dominating the market(Yes Symbian should be included since it is so dominate especially outside of the US but it too is obviously showing its age and is a dying OS).

This new windows OS is throwing in something into a market that is already dominated by there power houses as well. I wonder how it will do and how much of a game changer it could be in the mobile world. It seems more and more people are starting to gravitate towards smart phones and these are the big players.

Any discussion as to how each will play a role in the future of mobile devices?(iPhone, Android, WebOS, 7 Series, Bada,BB, the next version of symbian, Pure, etc)

Its set to launch for at&t, pending my store doesn't get an iphone as a demo phone and it hits the market with some type of expedience chances are i'll get to play with one.

However, at the moment, I must say that I don't like. I need a home screen of sorts other than just an assortment of tabs. Feels like im lost with out it.

Do like the social net work integration though... google needs to come out with a carrier agnostic blur substitute that doesn't suck.

I'll need to try it out before I go off and buy it. The interface seems simplistic enough.

I think the issue with the Windows Phone 7 series is it will be launched too late to make a dent in the Mobile OS market.

It has a neat approach to how a phone should be, information being the central point rather than the iPhone's - You can do this task, this task, that task, etc.
