odyssey o3e help

guys i bought this gun almost 2 years ago and STILL do not have a charger, does anyone have any idea on what i can do to charge the internal battery of this gun, or replace it with a board that will allow me to change batteries on the fly?

from what i found, if i purchase a charger from an R1, R2 or R3, it will work in this gun?

yes but then the battery wont fit in the grip anymore right?

With the new board it will fit, the t board is a whole lot thinner than the OEM board. U can get a charger off of eBay. I have the t board in 1 and the OEM board in another and to be honest I like the OEM better, I love the lcd screen, only thing you cannot tweak the dwell and whatnot like you can with the tboard. Tboard really helps with efficiency. For $10 I'd but a couple.

I have an 03 and it came with a charger. I'll check the make and model of it when I'm home and post it if you still need it. By the way, does anyone have an 03 manual or any hands-on experience? My electronics seem to be acting up. Thanks.

Hey, Bos. I couldn't get back to the thread earlier because there were too many searches. I managed to find the 03x pdf, but thanks a lot. When I plug in the charger, the grip lights up. It then goes to the voltage meter display and the value starts to decrease instead of increase. After a few seconds or minutes, it starts to flash every second or so. Then the display switches to the word; " *update* " and it cuts off when I press any membrane buttons. Any help would be great.

Uhhh ohh, the dreaded update. Can you unplug the battery and plug it back in, hopefully that'll fix it. To be honest I don't know how to fix it. If I was you I'd go ahead and buy the tboard and say screw it, that will fix the update I'm guessing. try searching for fixes for the update problem. I think there has been threads about it. I haven't screwed around with paintball in a long time and I'm a little rusty.

I tried disconnecting the board completely, but to no avail. I've read that the 03e had a flaw that screwed it up if it was reset. This may be what happened to mine. I've heard that the oem board of the 03x solves the issue. Do you know where to get one, or is the t board better? Also, did the data cable ever come out? I really would like to keep the lcd. It's sweet.

Yea, if you go to the Settings Reset on it and select it, its gone, game over. I've never seen an 03 board on eBay, so I guess you will probably stuck getting the tboard. Sorry.

what do you mean settings reset? how would i know if mine was ever reset and isnt going to work again?

To be honest I'm not sure, I'm guessing if you reset then your board won't work at all. It sounds like either ur battery, or charger.

i have no idea if that happened i bought my gun like 2 years ago the guy didnt include a charger and no one ever told me about teh rex charger until now. i have the gun at home trying to charge and ill find out tomorrow if that worked.

My rex R3 Charger says on it:

AC/DC ADAPTOR
& BATTERY CHARGER

INPUT:AC 120V/60Hz
OUTPUT: DC7.2V 170mA

So basically anything with will put out (lol) 7.2V @ 170mA and has the right connector will work. I'd bet you could jury rig a connector so even that constraint isn't all that important.

is there a way to test it or anything? it worked before when i bought it until teh battery died and the guy didnt send me a charger, and until now i didnt have a charger soo...
