not to insult you or anything but check that the bolt is in with the hole downward... we have all done it at one time or another. might be the problem

is ur bolt facing down, etc?
also, do u have an evo length bolt in a reg cocker?
ummmmm
did you completely tighten the pump rod thing at front?
any leaks anywhere on marker?
also, if you hold the pump handle and keep it held back when u try to shoot, that could cause problems

can't really think of much... i'm prolly not the best person to be tryin to help you out, but i'll try =P

What reg do you have?

I am going to point out the obvious here
But, you have to adjust the IVG also, not just the reg. In case you don't know, the IVG is that hole you put the cocking rod through.
Turn it clockwise to increase pressure with an allen wrench

You have to sweetspot it(google it), It isn't your pump kit, because the pump kit is just there to cover the hole and push the backblock back/cocking rod.

Reset everything. Set the IVG flush, then start at 2 turns in. Find the reg sweetspot, and then use the ivg for adjusting the FPS from there.
