Cons- heavy, needs upgrades

Pros- Everythin else.

Negate the cons, and you have a very effecient, very fast, very smooth shooting marker for a reasonable price.

Doin the upgrading gives you a sense of pride knowing you unleashed a beast.

Not much lighter! you could hack off the back of it or get it milled. my adrenalin is suprisingly light. if u post pics we can tell you what is done. if its just a stock vision you can prob find a better deal than that. they float around ebay cheap with lots of ups on em already. unless its a color you just love or something. its prob not a horrible deal if its candy.

also you might look for a private label like a strange as they were milled and you can find em cheap usually.

Light Hopper- Velocity
Light Tank- Ninja, Guerrilla Air, the New Crossfire
CP or Hyper 2 hpr reg
A nice light barrel such as a carbon fiber or a dye ultralight.

That will help immensely, but the stock body is where most of the weight is as ripdisc stated.

face it, older style imps were made like heavy tanks because they were designed for use by men, not boiz. there's really no sense in hacking up a perfectly good OS imp because it's too heavy for you to carry around on the field. to make this an easier decision, if you want something light, buy something light weight which OS imps aren't.

Then you are all set minus upgrading the internals in the future.

All good but the EVIL lpr... NEVER use an evil lpr, especially with a Rip valve.

You are better off with No lpr. Trust us... We have all been there...

NDZ Lpr
Jackhammer Lpr
Function Lpr
Smart Parts Lpr
No Lpr, just a front cap.

Choose.

Can i get some clarification on why not to use a LPR with the RIP valve?

What I meant is:

Never use an *Evil* lpr with a Rip Valve.

Evil is junk and only works decent with a full Evil setup (ram, lpr, valve)

Any other Lpr will work great with a Rip Valve.

Evil Lprs are designed for High Pressure while the Rip Valve is designed for LP.

The 2 do not Mix.

If the gun is stock, I'd keep looking. Imps don't have a great resale value, so short of a private label, to pay more than $100 or so for a stock Impulse, in my opinion, isn't the best deal. If you keep a sharp eye out, you'll find some gems here and there. For instance, I just sold my Imp, with quite literally every upgrade you'd ever need or want, all for $175, and some have told me I should have asked for more.

stock IMP needs barrel, unless you like 12in 695,bore. BH board, clamping feednk, and tight ASA with bleed.tapeworm or LPR,and delrin bolt! other wize find one thats upgraded all ready.200-300 bucks.

PS some PL imps are liter than stock. like strange, nasty .the ones with lots of milling much lighter than stock
