Hello everyone. Didn't know exactly where to post this, so i figured i would try here. I'm a film student at Eastern Kentucky University and use to play for them up until my funds ran out, so now I'm doing some video work for them in exchange for them listing my production company as a sponsor.
Thing is, I have this brand new, very nice HD camcorder, and i don't want it to get broken from a stray hit. Just for reference, this is what I will be shooting with:

I was brainstorming ways to get some sort of casing for it, but nearly every option I've looked into costs too much money. Was just wondering if you all had any suggestions for keeping it safe.
I currently have a cheap UV filter over the actual lens, so I'm hoping that would protect the lens from any direct hits. It was also suggested that i use this thing, but im not sure if it would offer enough protection:

Just wanted to get some opinions and suggestions from you all. Just don't want any harm to come to my camera.
Thanks everyone,
-Billy
