far as i know they're closed down for a month to reorganize.
Smart Parts Temporary Closure
Smart Parts Inc., undergoes temporary closure for restructuring during the month of January 2010.
Loyalhanna, PA – January 6, 2010 – Paintball manufacturer Smart Parts, Inc. is temporarily shutting down all manufacturing and sale operations in order to facilitate a corporate restructuring. During this time, the company will not be able accept or process orders, ship or receive products or perform repairs. The restructuring process is expected to be completed by the end of January 2010.
“It is important that people do not send equipment in for service during this time,” said company Vice President, Adam Gardner. “Our buildings will not be staffed during the restructuring, so there will be no one there to receive packages. They will automatically be refused and returned to the sender.
“To the players, field owners and store owners, please know that we appreciate your support and are looking forward to a fresh start for the 2010 paintball season. We apologize for any inconvenience this short closure may cause, and hope to make it up to you in the future.”
Smart Parts, Inc., is a leading developer and manufacturer of equipment and accessories for the sport of paintball.

Maybe Im out of line here, but how about you?
Seriously, learning how to tech your own stuff is something lost to most now, but its extremely rewarding.

If we're talking classic, I'll be happy to offer my services, I've fixed my share of them. If it's the new generation, I'm afraid I have yet to lay my hands on one, let alone try to fix one.

Look, more than likely your orings got cold and contracted. Let it warm up, and if its still leaking do a trouble shooting session, find out where its leaking from, and start there.

I wouldn't put too much stock in Smart Parts opening as Smart Parts ever again. I have a friend that was laid off on Dec 23 with no return date. They are heavily involved in a MilSim project whether or not they will be still fixing Smart parts products has yet to be seen.
There are plenty of good mechanics out there to fix it, you just have to look. the best mechanic would be you. Tear it down, check out You Tube videos, and the next time you have a problem you will say to yourself no problem I can handle that myself

I have had 2 09 Imps, both of them leaked. The first one I fixed by lubing the regulators. Follow your directions. Download the manual from smartparts. The 2nd one I am still having issues with. It will not effect the way the marker shoots. You will still be able to get about 7 pods through it before having to air up again. Get to know your marker. You probably spent alot of money on it, so I understand the hesitation to tech it. Just make sure you follow the directions. Like most SP markers they require some TLC and lots of lube.

right now i would not listen to alot of rumors till smart parts comes out with a statement. They are restructing their business this means they are prob laying off people they dont need and looking to sell off useless stuff. its sad to see people geting layed off but its what they have to do to keep the company going. i live by aapp and sp and everyone there has pretty good faith in the return of sp.

I dont think any reg can be as bad as the original max-flo. I just looked at the break down of this reg(s) and it doesnt look that bad to me. Not bad at all. Lube always goes a long way as well towards fixing leaks like this.
You should really try it yourself...the worst you can do is mess up an o-ring.
Well, you could do worse but not likely

There was a problem with like the first 250 or so Impulses leaking through the valve core or out the valve stem. I heard they changed these parts and you could send it to them to get it fixed when they were open. Maybe you could contact DLX. I heard they could replace the parts and tech the guns.
