What size barrel bore for Valken Paint?
OK so I made a thread before about my EGO 10 not liking Valken paint. Well I got a big game coming up next month so I figured I should look into getting a new barrel size and seeing if that will help. Not trying to make this a vs thread. Just want to know what size bores you guys use for Valken paint. Any type of Valken whether its Graffitti or Noxious. All I have right now is the standard PE barrel that comes with the EGO 10.

paint expands and contracts depending on the weather..... so there is no specific bore that is best

So we've narrowed it down to a barrel smaller than .693. Try a different barrel and let us know how that works. Then we can help you narrow it down further.
In case you can't read between the lines - you can answer this question yourself since you're the one with the Valken paint.

I dont have the Valken paint that is why I was asking this question here on the forums. I wont have the valken paint until I play the game in March. I was hoping someone on here had similar problems. So that I go ahead and buy a barrel before the game on March 6.
And I wont make you read between the lines. If you cant help my current situation then dont post. I dont need, nor care to read any smart comments.

No 2 cases are really ever the same. There are always small variations in paint.

OP: I use Valken Redemption paint (winter formula) with my Ego9. I use the stock barrel. I dont have any problems with my setup. In fact the accuracy has been outstanding. As far as breaks are concerned...in about 5-7 cases of it, I had maybe 5 or 6 breaks. Then again playing in 20 degree weather, that will happen.

You can't size paint unless it's right in front of you. The temperature and humidity makes paint shrink and expand so there is no way to get a accurate measurement until you are ready to shoot it. If you don't like to overbore then get a barrel kit.

I apologize if my comments are 'smart'. I'll try and not sound so 'smart' in the future.

Ok well thanks for the help guys. I know the weather plays a factor but I was trying to decide what size to get so that I can have an extra barrel in the bag to help improve the accuracy and what not. I think I am just going to get a new barrel that is two sizes smaller than my .693 and hope for the best.

.689 (.688 if it's a Dye UL) & .693 is all you'll ever need.

A different bore size won't affect accuracy too much. The best thing that you can do to improve this is to buy better paint. That being said, I haven't used a barrel larger than a .685 for months.

Just pick up a barrel kit. Thats the best way to go about sizing your paint. Ive used the stock barrel on my 07 since I got it, and have never had any problems at all.

I had a freak barrel kit but I didnt really like it so I sold it. I think I will just pick up a .689 and stick with that. I wish I could just "buy better paint" but when you are playing a scenario game that is a "FPO" you dont have the choice to buy better paint. If I had my choice I would shoot Premium all day every day but I dont have that luxury.

You really dont think bore sizing would make a gun more accurate?

No, not really. Consistency may improve, so shot grouping may be tighter vertically.
