Sodus is a terrible location. I know its cheap, and I don't even go out a lot - but Sodus makes the tournaments feel like a local 3 man tournament.
Other than that, I like it.

not playing a team in your conference? the luck of the draw could make a massive difference in whether making finals or not....bad idea
also axbl being on seperate days is a joke...with working like alot of other people sunday was always easier to make and thats what i expected again this year(imagine working a normal 9-5, then having to drive 8-10 hours like sum teams do to play a 8 am match the next morning)..sundays were always a day for the big boys as in the cxbl, wouldnt feel right on a saturday
as for locations i could care less but other people who will *****...no other fields wanted the axbl nor could they handle it

Good.
3 hotels, a campground, mcdonalds, wendys, kfc, subway, a p&c within 5 minutes drive. Two minutes off the exit from rt17/86.

I agree with you every statement you made except the last one becuase that's a false statement there's more to it then Just that.
My only thing I don't like is how it's a cheap over cost for axbl this year and that there's no extra perks for the players if you take something away you should replace it just my thoughts.

sodus is the worst venue ever, but i can't complain, props to the axbl for releasing all the info without their seasoned staff to help. All I can ask is for the owner of sodus to not dig trenches in the driveway to have us all bottem out our cars. The trenches are not needed if we all drive like people are supposed to.

So what happens with the AXBL teams that want to use MXL players. Wouldn't this mess that up since matches are on both days?

You get creative.
As for locations you take what you can get at a good price to keep the League in business for 2010. Remember this is a business not a charity.
I just hope they do something with the back field at Sodus. Like level it out and get the barn foundation out of it.

This is going to be an interesting season already. Hopefully this 3 event season is only for this year and we can expand back to 4 or possibly 5 events for the 2011 season.

I'd like to hope that all of this oddness in the scheduling and conference changes is intended to allow the league to expand westward in 2011. Maybe then we'll have a western conference in IL/IN/OH, central in NY/PA and eastern in New England and having separate events per conference. If that's the case, then it's worth it.
