Adrenalin Front System
Hey guys, on my Adrenalin, I have an LPR installed and i'm going to replace with with a front cap. However, one of the tape worm things has a nipple coming out of it that runs a hose into the LPR. Do i need a new tape worm or can I just remove the nipple and seal the threaded hole with a small stopper/set screw?

your best bet is to get a regular tapeworm and replace the nipple altogether to avoid any bolt lag or shootdown complications. you can just replace it with a plug. it's the way the most stock imps came from the factory in.

On my Adrenalin, the tapeworm that came on it was longer than the standard impulse ones, not sure if that means anything.

this is interesting. adrenalin impulses use slide checks, not tape worms. not sure what the lpr set up is connected to or if you can use a tape worm in place of a slide check. hope so. good luck finding a slide check now...

The "GP Sidecheck" or also known as a check valve is what you are reffering to and no a regular tapeworm wont fit the adrenaline correctly. Also if you plug the hole with the barb then you will cut off the pressure to the solenoid and the gun will not work. finding a gp sidecheck is nearly impossible these days so you will have to stick with the lpr if you dont wan't your gun to run into shoot down issues or spend a decent amount of time modding what you have to work without an lpr correctly.

well if that's the case, if you can find one of these:
you can do an iso mod which is just taking the existing nipple inlet and channel it to the va with the microline. you're rid of the lpr and have plenty of pressure to the noid.
btw, that's a NdZ Impulse High Flow Vertical adapter Isolation Mod. (HFV)
you could also drill and tap a line straight into the front volumizer.
when there's a will, there's a way.

I don't want to one up you again Lamorte but the adrenaline impulse also differes from regular impulses where the va is attached, so the ndz verticle adapter will not work. The air is routed around the screw on the AI (just like a sft shocker) but through the screw on all other impulses. I could tell you how to set up a tapeworm on your impulse with the adrenaline lpr sidetube being used, but it will require drilling and tapping of multiple holes/threads. Other wise buy a new lpr if yours is broke, or get a smaller one if you dont like its size.

I would also recommend getting a new lpr. Depending on the color you'd want, they can be found brand new for pretty cheap.
Or, if you fancy yourself a detective, find out what happened to www.buypb.com's stock. That was the company that made the Adrenalin, and they had all the Adrenalin parts in stock, including bnib bodies and frames, right before there website went down a few years ago. I've checked around and came up empty.

I think I saw a good amount of those parts liquidated/sold on ebay a while after the website went down. At least i remember when you could still buy their lpr nipples, jewels, bolts, and gp sidechecks on ebay.
