Proper pod pack care help

Ive got one of those empire liquid 3+4s that the straps holding the pods in feels like seatbelt material. Anyways ive been wiping it down to keep it clean but took a big mud spill at an outdoor field and want to toss it in the washing machine with the rest of my gear

Is this a bad idea? Like will all the velcro not be as nice from the dryer? what does everyone else do please let me know. I dont really have the cash to say screw it and buy a new one if I still want to play ball on the weekend. Thanks guys.

I will normally spray mine off with a hose first and then wipe it down with a towel. I then will let it air dry. Hope that helps.

I've been putting my gear in the washing machine for years. Try not to put it in the dryer, though. Some materials don't like that kind of heat too much. Toss it in the washer, then let it air dry.

just spray it off with the hose.Occasionally i will use soap, but not all the time, it might affect the material.

1. secure all velcro on pack.
2. throw pack in pillow case.
3. tie knot in pillow case.
4. throw pillow case in dryer with nothing else in there
5. set to gentle/delicates
6. air dry

well.. I threw my pack on the washer, Empire 08 Liquid Pack.. one of the straps was almost torn off the pack, and I had velcro'd them on the pack.. Now I just wash everything with a mild detergent. I'll throw everything infront of the garage, hose it down, throw some mild detergent and scrub away with a broom. Works pretty darn well if I may say so

they make mesh washerbags you can buy at walmart. they work just like the pillowcase except they have a drawstring and allow for beter penetration due to the mesh.

I put everything in the washer, Pants, packs, jersey, gloves, pads, all of the soft goods. Then just let them air dry, as long as you have the velcro stuck to each other they will be good.
