I have this pgp I bought off ebay and its started to leak so I need to fix it. I was also curious about the year and exact model it may be.

Whenever I insert a 12gram, the gun will shoot the first shot fine but then it completely leaks out al the air throuh the 12gram chamber.

It has a marking that says P-series on the side and its serial is p058180

Well it's definitely pre-2000, and judging from the plastic grips and pump handle I'd put it somewhere in the mid 90's.

I'm not an expert at older PGPs, but it sounds like you need a new chamber plug face seal. Palmer's carries them, but the problem is that in order to get to the seal to change it out you would need to remove the valve, which requires a special tool.

As stated before, you will need a Sheridan valve tool http://www.palmer-pursuit.com/cart/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=2_64_65&pro ducts_id=759 If it were me, I would go ahead and purchase the whole seal kit and have other parts for future use, or incase you need to replace now http://www.palmer-pursuit.com/cart/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=2_64_65&pro ducts_id=756 This comes with the new Dyna valve shown in the picture made by Palmers. Also, remember, sometimes you can get away with flipping the chamber face seal over to the other side and it will last a while. Once you have the tool, it is no big deal to go back in and replace. As with anything, be sure to pay special attention to how everything came out so you get back right. Pretty simple design.
