Protege Issue

I recently recieved a protege in a trade with a Tadao Yakuza Board, Violent Bolt, Violent Trigger, and CP shorty reg. I took it to the field today to use it and it had an issue with velocity and cycling. The gun would barely fire paint, ie the paint would fly about 20 feet. The velocity would not increase no matter how much I adjusted through the reg. My question is could the LPR need adjusting? I am new to the Protege/Timmy so I really have no clue how to diagnose the issue. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Make sure all the settings are at stock and that the lpr is at 70psi and hpr at 200psi(or set to chrono)

LPR pressure is critical. HPR adjusted to reach desired FPS. Use a tester.

this advice is assuming you Lubed you gun properly with dow 55, you inspected ram and poppet orings, and, you settings aren't out of whack.

bottom out Regulator pressures. set them both to 0.

Raise the HPR only a bit as so the regulator is supplying air to the gun.
then begin to slowly raise the LPR, while you are trying to cycle the gun keep raising the LPR until there is no apparent drop off between cycles, (you may need to raise the HPR a bit as well) the bolt should move back and forth without any problem.

now you take some paint and while shooting over a chrono raise the HPR
until you get up to speed,

you should be able to get to 300 FPS doing this, if you cant, you can raise the LPR a tad too to help some.

I recommend doing this with a LPR tester.

Thanks for all the help the first thing I did was reset the board to stock settings so I will borrow a friends LPR tester and work on it.
