I Want a Vice but My Local Gun Shop Doesn't have parts

Well, I wanna buy a used Vice soon. The only problem is that my local gun shop doesn't sale Bob Long guns (reason being is because bob long tried to sell them his equipment for retail price...which is stupid imo) so if I have any gun issues I won't be able to get it fixed by them. Is there a spare parts kit I can buy somewhere so I can take them my gun and the parts for them to fix it just in case anything happens? Thanks.

Also, I'd appreciate any and all advice toward buying a used Vice. (I'll most likely be buying it from someone on this site).

Vice's are very good guns, some say the best intimidator yet. The parts kit you can get online, just have to search for it. but I believe if you have a problem with the gun and you have the parts kit your shop should be able to fix it(if you cant) as long as they have teched bob long guns before, although its not too different then other guns on the market now. I personally tech my own guns because I have had bad experiences with techs at shops in the past

You really shouldn't need anything more than O-rings and lube. I have 2 Proteges, and other than upgrading parts, I haven't needed to change anything other than O-rings and perform maintenance on them.

My local shop has no Timmy parts................and I owned a Vice and a Closer up until last week (had to sell the Closer).........

Here is the kit I bought for my Vice.......

Also, LEARN the GUN yourself. I get more enjoyment out of working my own gun and installing everything myself because you know you put in some hard work. Also god forbid you have a serious problem that isnt solved by changing O rings, pins, screws......etc........then you have the greatest customer service which is BLAST, send your gun out for 15 bucks and they will fix anything and send it back to you in a timely fashion......don't build excuses for not getting the gun you want, I did that a little myself at first when I was getting a Vice and I went out on a limb and got it and never regreted the decision........

Yea, had my Vice since April - picked up 4C eyes and LP poppet online (installed myself - thanks Stickies!) - run through ~15-20 cases - lubed it ~3 times - shoots like a dream.

Plus, worst case, you call/send it to BLAST.

Bob sells a rebuild kit for the Vice, though I have yet to use one part out of the one I have. My two year old Black Vice has been flawless and the year old Lime one is equally amazing.

I've had my vice for over a year now. And the only thing I have needed was O-rings and dow55.

you're not going to need any parts. i've had mine for about 2 years now and it shoots $$$. the only things i replaced were things i wanted to upgrade. like everyone says.. DOW55 is all you need with the lpr tester

Thanks for everyone's input. Although, I'm not 100% sure on what a lpr tester exactly shows you. Does it show you how hot your gun is firing?

it shows your LPR pressure.

you remove the ram and put the LPR tester in, then air up the gun and you can set your LPR pressure.
