well being a fan of an american soccer team is pointless since american soccer sucks. its only fair to pick a team from europe to root for. but your statement could also be translated to american people/sports as well. people from california root for the yankees, washington capitals, miami heat, or the carolina panthers yet you have never been to the east coast and have no affiliation with these teams....but for some reason you pretend to have this fake alliance with them...?!?!?!

But technically, being the English language, we should get to to choose what we call what. Football, with 11 men and a round ball and no padding is Football.
American football, with 100 players, a rugby ball and a load of padding and lots of standing around in tights, is American football.
I'm not suggesting that you can't use football, but should at least use the full name in this misleadingly named subforum........
No sacrifice? Pff! Why do your boys wear all that padding then if they are so hard?  |
