TM-15 velocity question

Ok gents,
first things first. bought me a TM-15 and I fell in love with it almost immediatly. Other than the fact that my velocity is all over the place. 290, 270, 295, 250, etc... plus the accuracy seems to be a little lacking (due to the spikes??) I love the marker, minus those things, but really would like to figure out this problem.
Any ideas would be helpful. Im stripping her down in a bit for a good cleaning (as she took quite a few shots in the side during my last game today.. big gun=big target.....lol)
Thanks.

Im guessing it could be a paintball/bore matching issue.

Buy some better paint and you'll fix both issues.

since the 15 is based off the mini (i dont know much about them other than that) if they have a velocity adjuster you could try backing that out, while lowering your pressure.

Well, if its new, its going to need some time to break in a bit before its going to get really consistent anyway. And, as mentioned, paint to bore match will have an effect on consistency. V-1 is pretty good stuff but its a smaller size at around .682-3", and I'm pretty sure the TM15's barrel is .688-.690". So that could be part of it. Another thing to always make sure of is that your reg pressure is at 200 psi. I've seen on my TM7 even a `10-20 psi difference in pressure can make a huge difference in consistency over the chrono. One last thing is to make sure you're keeping the barrel and gun as clean as possible. Make sure you wash your swab/squeegee after every game also because using a dirty on to clean your barrel doesn't get you very far.
