There was a couple of drops. That neck of the woods was contested time and time again. Who knows.

Sorry if I came off as a nag. But I have never been to a game where awards where handed out that didn't include those two. I just feel that they are the only ones that really matter. Sportsmanship and Young Guns. As they promote obviously sportsmanship and the future of our sport. And what is something small to an adult is huge to a child. If you saw the kid's face Voodoo that won the Young Gun, how can you possibly demean the awards value. If you don't feel that these two awards should never be forgotten. I could care less to play aside you. You have got what the sports is all about all wrong. It's about the players more than the paint. If sportsmanship and making this something that is enjoyable for all ages is forgettable. Then I am obviously playing the wrong sport. Because that is what it is all about to me. The people.

I think everyone who played hard should be awarded for it. Nothing wrong with that. But not recognising all players who did so is something else. So I like to see formidable opponent awards. That shows the character of the Op-for as well. Not all, but at least the ones who call the shots.

As far as the field. I think there is no doubt that it was an awesome field. As far as the issues at the game. I think no matter what you do with a game that size your going to have some reffing issues. Whether its wiping, not walking all the way to your dead zone before reinserting, or camping DZ's by the Op-for. It's going to happen to some extent. After posting with Ferg on another forum I believe he did all that he could and the players are always on the forefront of his mind. Things just happen.

In the end. Bottom line is that everyone seemed to enjoy themselves. And that is all that matters. Obviously this game is a good one judging by its turnout. Patronage is the most honest form of opinion.

More pics WooHoo! Me likey pics...lol

I played on the NATO side. I was upset that we lost, but hey it's just a game and i had fun.

However, what ticked me off was the total lack of class that Warsaw Pact, namely X-Man displayed at the Awards Ceremony. Let me explain....

NATO went up there first, and THE first thing Sideshow (NATO General) did was THANK Warsaw for giving us a great game. He commended X-Man for a job well done, as well as the Warsaw Players. Then Sideshow proceeded in handing out the Young Gun and Most Formidable Opponent award. In defeat we still recognized an opposing player with an award. NATO made sure that the kids were in the spotlight, because kids are the future of the sport and we want them to come back and continue to play the sport that we ALL love.

Then X-Man came up on stage. He did not utter one word about NATO. No, "Hey Guys great game, you did great...." No none of that. He immediately started in thanking the WP side and proceeded on handing out awards to only his guys. It was a solid 40 minutes of Warsaw Pact adult men giving "Bro-Hugs" to eachother and saying how great each other was. No mention of the kids, no mention of NATO, nothing. It was a pompous, arrogant display of Bro-Love.

I'm proud i was there. I'm proud that i fought on the side that was numarically far outnumbered. I'm proud that we handed Warsaw the worst beating in defeat that it has ever suffered in the previous history of the game. I'm proud that NATO clearly played with higher morals and values. And i'm most proud that our General displayed an extreme amount of Class, even in defeat.

X-Man, honestly, i'm glad this was your last year. You personally didn't deserve to win by your conduct at the awards ceremony.

And honestly, i wouldn't want to win if my victory was achieved on the backs of WIPERS and people who wouldn't even walk ALL the way back to their ASSIGNED DEADZONES.
