Barrel length 18'
Anyone shoot a 18' barrel? Do you notice accuracy difference from a 14' or 16' barrel?

The length of the barrel doesn't affect accuracy. If anything, you'll get worse efficiency out of a longer barrel. 10-16" is what you want to stay inside for optimum performance.

He's right. 16" is good for some people that play on bigger fields (like X-Ball). I've got a 16" CP kit and it works great, but I really need to buy a 14" front for when I play on smaller fields.

No one else noticed he said 18 FEET? lol.
Anyway, i've never known anyone to use 18" on the field. Even to wrap or tuck in on airball bunkers, 16" is long enough.

biggest i've seen was one of those mix-and-match kits (everything is threaded the same, and there's different length fronts and middle sections so you can make whatever length you want) with everything screwed together, you could put the barrel on your foot and rest your arm on the tank. didn't chrono over 220, but it was good for a few laughs.
but yeah, 16" should be plenty, but i'd say stick with what you're used to. i've been shooting a 14" since i started (14" on a 98 custom is a little longer than 14" on most other guns, but that's another story), and i've found that i can't hit squat with anything else, mostly due to the fact that i've got a mental image of where the end of the barrel should be relative to what i'm shooting to hit it. i'd suggest barrel lengths based on what you usually play (front or back), but a friend of mine used to play snake with a 16" barrel on his shocker, with a 68/45 on a reverse mini drop, so setup length is all preference.

My eyes cross if I go past 14", I couldn't tell you why. I don't necessarily aim via the barrel but I look past it and shoot. If it's too long it catches my eyes and instead of looking past I cross at the tip lol

hoestnly. I predfr 20 inchers. You can aim much more easily and they shoot farthert/staiter and more quietly than shoreter barrels do.

Not performance-wise.
