If you really have a problem paying for .68 then don't play.Going from .68 to .50 is nothing like going from cassettes to CDs or gas to hybrid. And btw how many hybrids do you actually see on a daily basis?

Yea it is a lil bit. You know the whole "having to buy a new player" things. And not being able to play cds in your car for a while, unless you needed had an adapter.
Very similar.

finally someone grasps my concept.
Im not saying that 50 cal will be efficient like a hybrid, im just saying its the transitions to new products are generally unwelcome for aawhile until they are proven and have some market saturation

I think its still a paintball that shoots out of your gun... it is weird because everyone shoots guns made to shoot .68, but hell whats the size of paintball going to change besides making them a little bit cheaper? yea we all spend the money every weekend but i wouldnt mind paying a little less for a case and shooting a little smaller paintball

I've been playing paintball for 10 years now and I have watched this sport/hobby/game change on that time. With every new innovation in the paintball community there are many who resist and complain about it. I usually sit in the background and let others buy the new technology and see how it performs before I make my decision on whether to buy it or not.
With .50 cal this is the first time I have been against something "new" (I know it was tried in the early 90s) off the bat. What many people forget is that paintball is a luxury sport. It costs money to play, plain and simple. If you do not have the money to play then you find something else to occupy your time and money. There is absolutely NOTHING wrong with .68 cal paintballs. If you want to use .50 cal so badly go to Wal-Mart and buy the little .50 cal blowgun they carry and knock yourself out. The driving forces (SP/GIMil) have provided ZERO hard facts as to the actual benefits of .50 cal over .68 cal. I will continue to spend my hard earned dollars on something I KNOW will perform 100 times better than .50 cal.

So use .68 cal. It's the same idea - it's a choice not a forceful action.
