Actually that is exactly what the manufacturer wants you to think... That it would be cheaper in the long run.

BUT... they would never admit it will be cheaper for them to produce in the long run.

Make no mistake... Paint companies will not be able to offer "what we believe is to be" cheap .50 cal paint especially during this transition as it will cost lots of money to convert over to new production .50cal paint.

Things that need to be factored... production costs such as machinery conversion e.g. molding process, new box, labels, marketing cost and any cost associated to producing .50 paint.

Just to throw in my opinion, I'm not switching to .50 cal unless it ends up working just as well .68 cal. And I agree .50 cal will never take over paintball. It might last, it might not. The price is certainly attractive but quality has to come with it.

Ill stay on the fence for now. I like my 98c and I just bought an old SL-68 II so ill stick with my gear I have now. I'm too poor to buy all new stuff

ok..i pay $15 for a case of spectrum paint...xo paint..and v-1 paint...$15!!!!

they said they will probably sell this new .50call paint for $25-35...
i noticed that the new kingman handguns use .43cal...
and for a bottle of 200 rounds for the kingmans, go for 8.99
500 rounds cost $17.95...

using reasoning...i bet a case of 500 .50cal balls will be $25-30
and from there....more paint will be more $$

so its probably gonna average out to the same prices as the .68 paint...maybe a little more!

i'm sure they're aren't too many people paying $15 a case...i work for a store and we don't even get paint for that price wholesale.

so maybe you do, but i'm sure 98% of the pb community doesn't.

.50 will help a lot of people. everyone either needs to give it a chance or shut up and shoot .60 if they can afford/like it better.

i doubt any league will implement .50 only rules.

if you pay $15 for Spectrum, you should keep shooting that paint, because you have a good deal that most people will never have!

oh yeah..i deff take advantage of the price i pay for paint..
where i play, they have a warehouse stacked with paint..
i have a connection on the inside that gives me the paint for very cheap (when i purchase in bulk amount)
$160 for 10 cases of spectrum...cant turn that down at all...im starting my own little warehouse of cases of paint lol

i love making close friends with people that own shops
