Good-Bad and the Ugly at Vegas let's hear it.

the event was great! People were awesome except on the strip. Reffs did their job except on the non pro field. Being shot with illegal paint isn't cool nor did they make an effort to check for hits. Pro field did great but too quick to pulls fast guns and throw flags. What's that for? Tv fame? Please.. I didn't watch the webcast but heard from home that it was down a lot. Vendors were cool too. Blast teched and did an awesome job. ( didn't bounce at all). I think reffs were just trying to pull guns tho more eclipse than any other. Proof. No bl gun was caught even tho they were a few out there. Won't say names... Funny times: rojo falling face first into tha "u". Or players totally missing a target during a bunker or run through. Back to the people, some foos had no respect or sense of it. I was given adult cards while I'm pushing along with my kids going to get ice cream. I think the weather was nice better than san diego I heard. The hotel was cool except for ubsurd charges. Ollie, matty and crew crashed next to us. Had to explain to the kids who they were and why they were important.

vegas was awesome and our team was even better. They played their hearts out with heart and made finals losing to epic. I swear we made history there. Free agents d2 thx for an awesome event and being a swell group of guys. Paint shot sweet too! Thx to rusty and serg! Much love, -rick

I know of atleast 1 team who got a gun penalty for a bouncing Victory.. so there was BL guns pulled

Next event - there sure as hell better be a tech staff there to check guns... REFS who have no clue how to walk dropping 3 pods through a gun to try and prove that it bounces just to call a penalty is stupid

reffs checked our victory after we pulled off a 2 on 5, but found nada. Another team not mentioned had a bunch of em especially their dorito player. Kinda sounded like it was ramping for a bit. But more like a pop pop brrrat then pop pop. But the egos they pulled were omg insane. In game the reffs would hawk over a player until they got shot out then yank a marker and waste a pod or 2 until they found that slight point where it went off. On the victory the reffs would wait til the marker ran away. And then red flag em.

Reffing was only bad on the Main event field from calling a Malicious intent call for 6 balls to the back on someone that wasnt out yet. Only reason they called it is because the kid was crying in the dead box.

In my opinion this is one thing the xball format has over 7-man... that's a clear and cut ROF that you can't crawl over... no worries about bouncing, illegal modes and stuff like that.. ROF over 10.5 - DONE. THis is easily remedied by the players in the 7-man format. STOP with the bouncing guns. My gun doesn't bounce, I'm perfectly happy rolling around at 16 bps, it's plenty fast enough. players need to take every precaution to make sure that their guns cannot bounce, even if put through the most rigorous tests.

very tru. Fer a minute I had my vic at unlimited but set to 15 bps, since I had the same issue in hb with my abomb. Reffs can be iffy tho some a lil bias.. But until next hb we'll never know how we'll b treated. What did part time ninjas get penalized for?

event sucked. around 3 major vendors, only 2 fields at a "world championship," and kinda ****ty refs. and our team didnt get ****ed by the refs. only fun part was being in vegas. blast tried to charge me 40 bucks for a wire so **** them. been to a local tournament bigger than this. cant wait for hb.

3? are you talking about Planet Eclipse? or Kingman? or BobLong? or Angel? Ninja? CC Paintball? Kee Action Sports (empire)? or maybe Custom Products? Dye didn't show up... is that what this is about?

vendors will show when people start buying stuff at events and stop complaining about not getting the special pricing they get from their buddies at their local store

A player on our team set his gun where it bounced crazy. The penalty was harsh, but witnessing first hand how the gun shot, I agree the gun was set in an attempt to get away with the bounce. The penalty was valid.

Basically selfishness affected our team significantly. We took our lumps, refocused, and attempted to still make it, but failed.

Besides the self-induced drama, we had a good time and are liking 7 man and will be back in 2010.

As far as the good and bad. I do believe there is a lot to improve on, I think the USPL/NPPL staff read these posts and will make adjustments. I look forward to next year.

nppl buffalo was the best event ive ever been to other than cup. uspl has really slacked this year on pulling in venders and spectators. dc was an embarressment to the sport of paintball. it was more like a regional event. i just think next year granstands tix should be free until sunday and the webcast should be higer quaility.

I did not make vegas, but i had a blast at DC,

really guys? what are you out there for? Yea everyone wants to win but when you lose you should still be able to say you had a good time. If you cant say that then you shouldent even be there.

*****ing about the vendors will get you nowhere simply because vendors cant sell gear for the prices you buy online. What percentage of your gear is bought online? 75? 90? a vendor isnt going to show up to an event to loose money, think of all that it costs them to get there. They have a set profit margin and if they dont reach that then they probably wont be back. The lack of vendors is in direct relationship to the ammount the players/fans buy AT events.

This is a rebound year for the USPL/NPPL everyone knows last year was pretty bad. Once people, teams, and vendors see that the USPL/NPPL is back on their feet it will start to grow to how big it once was.

Its was pretty much a hang on for the ride kind of year and truthfully i enjoyed it. I can see big things happening in 2010 for the USPL/NPPL
