after reading
i was thinking ok why does this thing need to be lubed so much

so i polished the tip of the stem.......now its smoother and seal with more time between lubes
also the Guerrilla lube stays on there for a while! i should try the Slick honey on there to test how long it lasts this time

Do you notice any performance improvement over say a Zeni or MD Red valve? I just know those just work with no hassles. If the empire need to be messed with all the time then it wouldnt be an advantage to get one...

no kick, no shake, super quiet, easy to pinch

it doesnt need to be messed with all the time

just need to shave the stem and get a valve guide

this should just give you more time where you dont need to lube it

Mine works perfect since I shortened the valve stem and got the valve guide. After that, it's just a lube job every now and then. I lubed mine after a few cases as a preventative measure but never had it leak on me due to lube. It once leaked on me when I just got it and put an ultra light spring in it. I was experiementing.....

* Edit * Pump, are you sure you have the right link up there? It just linked to this same thread.

Are you guys using the metal spyder guides or the acid customs one? The metal ones always dig the ano inside the marker. So I think I may try the delrin AcidCustoms one?

Mine is the spyder guide. I just checked and couldn't see any light scratches whatsoever inside the chamber. I didn't shoot more than 4 cases through it though.

i tried using a lighter valve spring, but the oring friction increases as the gun fires, could be the polishing increasing the vacuum or just that using a lighter spring makes the friction feel more significant, or the orings swelled with the guerrilla lube, i dont know, but i tried a Uring and fired it couple times, im amazed it sealed, now all i need to do it rip on it and see if my dwell time increases or not

i also have a smaller oring, but if the Uring holds up ill stick ot that due to how frictionless it glides

How often do all you Empire users lube the valve-stem orings?

i would do it after every 1-2 days of playing

i think its the orings swelling on my part
combined with my lighter valve spring explains why i was getting adverse effects from friction. before i switched my spring it was never a problem, but i wanna run super light moving parts
