OH and grazi, we have to invade England... if we invade Ireland to get to England we'd never make it past all the bars... Come on you know Germans would never survive Ireland... Now Aruba on the other hand...

On behalf of the American Security Force, I want to congratulate Madkow and his British Command staff ("Ninja" and "Nyxx") on a job well done! As you both know, I *very much* wanted to see you walk away with this win...

British forces ==> particularly the ones that were still there until 4pm, I salute you on your resolve to fight the good fight and send the Germans home with the loss. Congratulations and a win that was surely earned. We all know it wasn't made easy for us.

Germans ==> Job well done. Pete, Frenchie, Slaughterhouse-5, you faced the same elements as you did last year, but you adapted and gave us one hell of a fight from start to end. The pressure you guys got on London was insane!!! Man that was fun!

Everyone in general ==> From my point of view, it seems like everyone played this game straight up honorable! Everyone seemed to call their shots on both sides and there didn't seem to be too much post-shot-trash talking.... good to see.

German Tanks ==> I can't tell you how many times you guys snuck up on us. The rain muffled the engines to the point where we didn't know where you were coming from. Turning around only to see the dreaded yellow Predator tank 20 feet from London was one scary sight. I vote 'keep the tanks for next year!!!!' (Would have been nice if we had one though.

The highlights (for me anyway)
- My U.S. Security Force (Forefront, Red Hawks, Team Delaware, Shadow and Help Nelson)... you guys made the day for me. Everything from the Ski masks, our compound blowing away, staying on the filed until the bitter end and everything you did on the field. I couldn't be happier with my choice of teams for our squad and with your performance.

- The weather. I loved it. Seriously.

- The fighting to the North of London and North of Castle Eclipse around 2-3pm.

The low points
- Getting shot from behind by the British and from Germans at the same time because nobody could tell what side we (Americans) were on. Seriously. Ugh... Yeah. Skirmish gave us *YELLOW* ID cards. Note: The Germans wore *yellow* hopper tape. See the problem? lol There was a point where I was caught between advancing Germans and British all who thought I was enemy!!! Now I know what Shields feels like.

Battle for Britain 2009: U.S. Security Force Awards
Yeah. I didn't stick around to present my awards. I had no idea I even had any to give. Anyway... here they are:

Battle for Britain 2009 American MVP: Joel Pinto (Team Delaware). He ripped people apart during the beach defense and was on the field non-stop. Job well done and an award well deserved.

Honorable Mention: Mike Lydon. Thanks for all the logistical support before and during the game and being the best dam leader on the field.

Battle for Britain 2009 American MVT: Help Nelson. They showed up in numbers as they always do and fought their hearts out the entire time. You guys never disappoint. You always seem to make it onto my MVT short-list, but this time you were clearly at the top of it. Thanks guys.

Honorable Mention: How do I do this? Everyone played hard in some really wet weather. So, everyone gets honorable mention: Shadow, The Red Hawks, Team Delaware and of course FOREFRONT!!!!

Terry and the Skirmish staff ==> Incredible job all around (except for the ID colors!). The refs were on point and were just great! The tanks were managed very well and I'm really glad they were rolling on the field all day. Aside from the weather, I give the game a 9/10.

-Roger

About 5 minutes after we engaged them alot more of you all showed up (in the apprx time it should have taken to get there). We pushed them all out nonetheless though.
I can tell you with 100% certainty that everyone started at Tippmann City. In fact, "Silence" and I ran side by side down the path and were among the first ones there. A *bunch* of Brits followed up to our Left/North only seconds later. If anyone would have even attempted to break-out early, they would have gotten quite a few "hey-don't-cheat-shots" to the back of the skull. I don't like people that do that.

Anyway... that was good/fun fighting in the first 15-20 min!!! I got bunkered while re-loaded though. That always sucks.

Well I believe you guys, and by god your all damn fast runners! LOL

Thankfully only a handful were fast!

What a day, then again anyday out on the field with good friends on both sides is GREAT!

Well now that everything is dry.....

I just wanted to say that we had an awesome time playing through the torrential downpours in a terrfically hard fought game by both sides. I definately agree that when the field was getting dangerous to play on with the heavy rain and lightning it was the right call by Terry and both generals to call the game.

British: Great game guys, you really brought it to us out there and I for one had a blast trying to take the beach and all the skirnishes around tippmann town.

Germans: Hard fought, well played, but we got beat. It was a hell of a fun time running with all of you.

Slaughterhouse 5: Great to play with you guys again.

Predator: Awesome job with that tank.

1st SS: Adam you and your guys were tremendous out there on the beach and with your tank, as always a pleasure.

Northeast: Congrats on the MVT very well deserved it seemed like you guys were everywhere!!

Grazi/Frenchie: As always awesome playing with you again, will not soon forget the infamous medical mission..lol

Pete: Always a pleasure man, would play for you anywhere anytime....
Squeaktoy: You are just awesome...

To anyone I didn't mention it was good times look forward to seeing you all soon!!!

oh where do i begin,
I had a blast at this event. i apologize it has taken me so long to get to this between school and homework. The best part was the fact that this is the first big scenario in a while that i did not have problems with my ankle. The weather was.... entertaining to say the least. The reffing was great as usual. I had a blast hanging out in the moguls and charging the center flag with "princes." Frenchie had a blast shooting along side you in the moguls. you did a great job. I'm still sorry i stole one of your pods. Grazi you should look into getting one of those jerseys. You did a great job helping many newer players put up a great fight for flag one. SH5 you guys did a great job as usual. General Pete you did an outstanding job at every thing you did. you motivated me, and i am sure many others, during the beach invasion. Thanks again for the MVP. I just want to say that Madkow, Ninja, and Nyxx all did an outstanding job.

And a extra special thanks to Mrs. Squeaktoy. Your cookies were outstanding as usual and I am officially addicted to your Irish potatoes. But most of all i am just blown away by your generosity. It wasn't enough to give me cookies, Irish potatoes, water, and hot chocolate but you gave me 4 pods of paint for the last mission. I'm just glad i did not get to use any of it. hope to see you all again soon.

Ahhh so that was Grazi with the duck on his face? I meant to question who that was as I really do not know who is who... In any case I was at the small castle and helped lead you to the ref grouping, with my brother who was nice enough to inform you that with all the water a duck had gotten stuck in your mask.... it was understandable given all the ponds we were dealing with. I heard after we pulled back to go get more air the castle ended up falling to the Brits... I am a bit aggrevated with that having fought so hard to take it and then holding it for so long... oh well crap happens.

09 has been a Castle flipping year. I think it went from Russian to German 3+ times at Stalingrad in March. Sounds like it got flipped like crazy again. In years past, it usually stayed one color the whole time.

Barring an act of god or a man-made catastrophe there just may be a PVN video of this game released later this week. (Note - a man-made catastrophe could occur if I open my fridge and there's no Sam Adams Boston Lager in it).

I have to agree thiose Forefront guys are fast, especially Silence. I followed him on a march towards the opponents base at another game and it was all I could do to keep up. Of the 5 or 6 people we started with on the march he lost at least half. Geez.

Some unlucky people at NJ Nam this year tried to hitch a ride with Del Russo driving. He quickly found himself alone in the woods holding a helicopter pvc pipe.

It's the Forefront way.

Hey man I do what I can; I should have been doing some more suicide runs but it doesn't work if you send one guy. You have to send at least 5 at a time. Maybe then you can get the flag. Great job on the MVP and tell your dad great playing with him as well!

Yeahhhh that was me with the face-hugger duck. I was suppose to run out of the boat with a duck on one of those inflatable tubes but that didn't work out. Next year will be ours!
