I have just received my 1st Droid in a trade and it was listed as having a "gold bolt" well when I looked to my surprise the bolt is black ..

Now the Kid swears its a gold bolt and not all are colored gold ..

As well it is a PL Droid ..

any info/help ..

All gold bolts are gold yes if it's black it possibly and earlier version but deffenatly not a gold bolt.

I can almost guarantee it's NOT a gold bolt....but just in case there is some team edition or some other shenanigans I don't know about, how many orings does it have on the bolt tip?

If it's two orings on the bolt tip, it's a ghetto gold bolt (I guess...)
If it's one oring, the dude is blowing smoke up your ***.

Two orings on the bolt tip was one of the features of the gold bolt...the "Anti-Clip Tip" makes for softer contact with the next ball in the stack.

it was named gold bolt for a reason..... and its not cause it was black

some originonal bolts that went out to teams were silver (raw), check the tip o-rings, if there is one you have been had......if there are two there is every chance it coulds have been re anodised.
