Ya most high schools especially in colorado are afraid of another Columbine (sp?)
cause paintball guns sometimes resemble real guns and shoot a projectile they most likely wont do it

trust me I tried all 4 years in high school and got shot down for some bs reason every year and it was different every time

It almost happened at my school, but then I graduated and wasn't there to push it along anymore. You need to give the angle of it being a sport and team building experience just like the other sports in your school. The biggest problem is, who are you going to compete with? Other high schools don't have teams, so it would be club. And even with it being a club where will you practice and compete and who with? Sundays are the day for tournaments, and schools aren't aloud to do anything on Sundays.

eh it wasnt that great,if you know people at your school you can just set up your own group and not go through the school having the school involved just makes it to much of a problem

if it is a school club you are looking to start check with one of the guys from RJHS, I know they started a club at their school. The club has both tourny and rec players in it. If it is a school team you are trying to start good luck with that one, teams do not stay together and lots of the newer tournament players are a bunch of flakes, case in point:

yeah this is a great way to help the sport grow here in CO, dont help the new players that are trying, lets just make fun of them and "strangle them". Nice >:/

When i was in high school we had a paintball club that was not sanctioned by the school. We met at the field every sunday to play. We played on a field behind a graveyard so nobody knew we were there. Worked out nicely. You can promote your club amongst paintballers without involving the school. zero liability on their part and you get your club.
