Notre Dame's defense sucks. Notre Dame as a whole is a top 25 team, maybe top 15 by the time the year is up. That is entirely because of how prolific our offense has been, and it is because Weis is a brilliant offensive mind. If you actually watched Notre Dame football you would understand that a) Weis has developed Clausen into the best quarterback in the country b) Notre Dame has one of the best, if not the best passing games in the country c) Weis figures out creative ways to get the ball in his playmaker's hands. Notre Dame's offense is lightyears ahead of where it was last year, and it is because Weis took control of the offensive coordinator position and playcalling back. He makes questionable game management decisions from time to time, but as far as being the best pure offensive genius, I wouldn't put anyone above Weis. Notre Dame has become a punchline over the last two years, and somewhat deservedly so, but this year's team isn't the same old Notre Dame. Our defense is holding us back, but watch out next year if Clausen and Tate come back and that defense gets a year older.

We lost to USC on the last play of the game, and it was mostly because our defense gave up 380 passing yards. Our offense played very well against them.

Miami has a pretty good offense too, that's why they just beat the Sai...oh wait...their defense blew it for them in the 2nd half.

A) Notre Dame is good enough on offense to make them a good team in spite of their defense.

B) The point I was making was that Notre Dame is an offensive juggernaut precisely because Weis is a great offensive coordinator.

You don't HAVE to have two good pieces to win.

Look at Alabama. VERY good defense. Poor offense. Undefeated and #1/2
Look at Georgia Tech. VERY good offense. Poor defense. One loss and #11

Your offense blew that game for you with turnovers. Clemsons D is one of the best.

Its much better to be good defensively than offensively. Defense wins championships.

Depends on your style of offense. Georgia Tech's offense is a good defensive tool.

Either way, be really good at something.

IDK wtf you're talking about. I was referring to the Miami Dolphins vs. the NO Saints, and my NCAAF team of choice is FSU, none of which have played Clemson (and two of them never will! )

And Alabama's offense is still in the top 35 and only Florida, Arkansas and Auburn have better offenses in the SEC. If McElroy can get back into a groove, its a top ten offense.

Hell a couple weeks ago when they were playing south carolina I forgot Julio Jones even played for Alabama. They need to get that guy the ball more

A ball control offense like UA/GT is useful, but a good defensive team will usually beat a good offensive team. Especially, in college football.

Agreed. He had a season high seven catches against UT, hopefully, its the start of a trend.

Idk, maybe it's just me, but it looks like solid defenses can be kinda hard to find in college football. So many high scoring games with huge offensive numbers make it more enjoyable to watch, but at the same time, it's frustrating when the huge numbers are being put up against your team

Sames goes for Charleston Southern, etc. Everyone has cupcakes that pad the stats. Virginia Tech helped UA pad stats, as well.

What you doing, Miles?

Good example of why you don't run your mouth if you don't know what you're doing.

Not sure if you've heard, but he's been complaining about illegal blocks now.

Because cut blocks are illegal......yea....
