DP conversion kit for 50 cal?

Any word on DP's stance to 50 cal? Will DP make new 50 cal markers? Kip, can you confirm if there will be 50 cal conversion kits? THIS IS NOT A DISCUSSION FOR PRO OR CON 50 CAL.

he has mentioned previously that it wouldn't be hard to make a conversion kit for DP markers but that is about all that was talked about.

I dont see what would be so hard...at least for thier poppit style. PE has a full insert kit for the Ego's. I think for the Rev-I it would be easy as doin a new tube and new bolt instead of whole new gun.

Why is everyone acting like .50 cal is going to become the new standard?

All we know now, is that some companies are hoping to sell a new line of paintballs, forcing everyone to buy new markers, hoppers, pods, and conversion kits. Change, for the sake of change, is not progress.

I dont think it is gonna be the new standard, just another option for pballers. I personally will stick to .68 but a .50 conversion kit would be nice to save $$ on paint for practices, if the .50 are as cheap as people are saying.

If you are buying paint at a field then .50 cal won't be any cheaper than .68. Fields still gotta make money.

please can we not turn this thread into an anti-50 or pro-50 thread please

Also DP has stated that they will make full conversion kits if 50 becomes popular

lostsaint is right. DP has said that they have no plans to make a kit or a .50 cal marker unless .50 cal really catches on. If that does happen, Kip did not think it would be very hard for DP to make a conversion kit.

Yeah it would you would have to get conversion kits or new hoppers markers and barrels. Plus I have seen cases of .50 cal paint and it was $44 which is what I pay now for a case so idk how people are saying it's cheaper.

It is not going to be cheaper by any means. Dont buy into that. It is simply a way for companies to make more money off the consumer. I am convinced of that. Mark my words now, it will not be cheaper when all things are said and done.

apparently tho, the cases of .50 cal will have 4000 rounds instead of 2000 rounds. this is what i have heard from the thousands of threads about this now. the talk about converting to .50 cal has been around for a few years and it has yet to catch on. just dont worry about it, it prob wont catch anyway
