Places that hydro test in Boise area?
I need to rehydro a tank and don't really want to pay shipping to send it somewhere. Does anyone know of places in the Boise/Meridian/Nampa area who rehydros tanks for a good price?

The main Norco building off the Broadway Exit does it or did last year for about $20 a pop. It takes them about a week.

I might as well send it somewhere. Around $20 plus shipping and 24 hour turn around.

Which one is the one off Broadway?
I called the Nampa one and they said they could do it but they said I'd have to have the valve removed first which I can't do.
Here they all are. Point it out, that'd be helpful!

The official Norco building is actually pretty close to True. Take broadway and go up near the airport but keep going straight. It will lead you to their front door. Shipping tanks can be somewhat pricey, and most places charge over $25. local is the way to go!

They remove the reg if it's on there, but you have to sign a waiver saying that if they jack up your reg/tank while removing the reg they are not liable for it. Because some tanks have loctited threads, which can be a pain to get off and sometimes can mess up tanks.

Boise, on Gowen.
I would just remove/replace the reg yourself.

Yes, do remove the reg yourself. I had a pure energy tank that had the reg snapped off of it and i had to spend another $85.00 to get the tank hydro'd and fixed.

Took a tank to have Hydro tested to Boise saturday.
Called Dive Magic and they send their tanks out to have tested. Great people to talk about tanks if your not sure what you are doing. Told me what some of the numbers on the tank meant.
Called Norco on Amity and they are closed on saturday. Norco on Eagle road was open. They don't know much about the tanks, but did say the valve has to be removed, They woudn't do it. Dive Magic popped it off for me, no problem.
Truck from the place that tests the tanks delivers to Eagle road only on wednesdays. Truck from Norco of Twin only delivers on friday. It will be a week for me, I'm from Twin. It will be delivered back to Twin no charge I'm told.
If you take your tank to Norco on Amity during the week days, you might get a quicker turn around.
$20 test fee for 5 years, $20 visual fee yearly before filling. Dive Magic charges $7 to fill tank wiith compressed air.
I did find out my SCBA tank is only rated for 2200 psi. That's ok, my pellet gun shoots at that number. I was hopeing it was rated for more than that, but when you don't know about tanks that's what happens. My gun is a Benjamin Discovery, I just might sell the tank when I get it back. My wish list is a higher rated pellet gun, so I will need a 3000 psi rated tank later.
If you buy a tank, ask around to see what valve it has, and what adapter you will need to fill your other tanks, or guns. Save shipping parts back and forth, wasteing money on shipping.
