dye nt solenoid

Hey guys I was just wondering if anyone knows wheres a good place to get an NT solenoid? also I was wondering if you guys think it would work with a project shocker? Also if it would work with a droid board? I know it opperates on 130psi so I was wondering if I could use a LP firing can on my shocker so it would work? any helpful suggestions or help for that matter would be very much apperciated

Dye is a good place to find one!

You could technically get it to "work" with anything.... But serious modifications will need to be made. To start, you'll have to change the wiring harness and probably make a manifold for the solenoid to be compatible with any other marker.

I looked around dye and they didn't have any or I couldn't find one (well at least not when I went there) well the droid board looks like it has the same plug in's as the UL board, and I know I was either going to tap barbs into the shocker or try and fabricate a manifold but I just needed to know if it could work I need a super tiny solenoid that works with spool valves

Sorry I didn't specify...

You need to call Dye directly to get this part. Certain raw parts like o-rings, screws, and solenoids cannot be purchased on the website. Please call 858-536-5183. You can place your order with the operator.

Thank you,

The NT solenoid won't work a shocker.. the NT solenoid is a 3 way solenoid (input, output, vent) where as the shocker requires a 5 way solenoid (input, vent, output 1, vent, output 2)

the guy in R&D said it was a 2 way, and I thought shockers ran off a 4 way valve

depends on how you classify the solenoid.. sometimes people count vents, sometimes they don't

technically it is a two way since it has one port and one input..but once the solenoid spool moves into the energized position it has to vent the back pressure from the bolt assemby allowing the marker to cycle..

I know I can't run the shocker of the nt solenoid with no modifications so would it work if I tapped and plugged a hole and then tapped barbs for the others? then put a LP firing can on it?

... no

what you could do is get the older SMC solenoids that the dm's use which are low profile (but longer) and adapt that to work with the shocker..

I wish I was! the reason I need a small solenoid and board is because I am trying to UL a shocker, I have the pm5 UL frame on it but the battery, solenoid, and board need to fit in just the frame. lol it's a project
