NT making hissing noise durring cycle
I have the marker at all stock settings. When I fire it single shot a hissing it makes a quick short hiss at the end of the cycle. When I rapid fire the first few shots will have this hiss then later in the string it goes away. If I single shot again the noise comes back. Does anyone know what could cause this?
Thanks

Some of the front bumpers on the piston need a notch cut into it to prevent a vacuum effect. If you have one of the earlier NT's, you may have one without this notch. This notch can be cut into the bumper yourself or we can send you a new bumper. If you wish to do this yourself, please call us so we can walk you thought it and make sure it is done properly.

Where is the serial number on the NTs to figure out if we have one of the first 150 NTs that were released?

The last 3 digits of the serial number! However, this is not an accurate way to figure out if you have a gun that may have some of the old issues. For example, we have a gun here with serial number ending in 024. This NT (despite having an early serial number), has all the updated parts (as do all guns that we have in stock).
So, in short, if you have an NT with an earlier serial number, it doesn't necessarily mean the parts are not updated.

Yes there is another spring available! I believe the new spring is a little bit stronger (returns faster). These are going into ALL NT's from this point forward. However, the new spring is not a necessary change, as there are several NT's working wonderfully without them.
If you feel you need a new one, call us and we'll send you one. Simple as that!

No. But don't cut a notch in your piston, cos bad things will happen.
ONLY cut a notch in the FRONT orange bumper, not the back. See above photo for reference.

and you guys can send us the parts as well? I live in SD I called and they said it would either be a couple hour wait or next day if I brought it in myself. I think I would rather have the parts shipped to me.

hey, i just checked my front piston head and it seems the orange bumper is slanted to one side on it. was this done on purpose? btw the last three digits of my nt's serial number is 022 so i guess i got the 22nd one. can you guys check and see if my gun had all the upgrades installed on it. thanks

It's slanted to one side? Can you push it down to level it out or is it smashed? There's no way to check by serial number if you have certain parts.
Are you having any issues with your NT's operation?

i tried pushing it down but it doesnt work the bumper does not budge. when i first got the nt and shot it, nothing seemed amiss.
here's a photo i just took.
the flash makes kind of screwed up the image, but you can still see what i mean.
also, i know annodizing the marker voids the warranty, but does powder coating it void the warranty as well. since the internals are not touched when you powder coat a maker.

The angle of that bumper is no problem at all!
Yes, powder coating will void your warranty.
