Arrived at the hotel - check in was crazy took forever... some peeps visibly upset over some bull****...
rooms are good enough for 4 at the most... don't listen to the door guy who told us to park in the back... take advantage of the free valet parking.
oh... weather is nice but chili right now... now that we have a sufficient buzz we are heading out of our room.

Circus Circus is not the best place in the world to eat - neither is that McD's down the street from it.
Alcohol is free if you're over 21 and actively gambling, but it is customary to tip your waitress well - I normally give $1 for a beer and $2-3 for a cocktail.
The guys handing out flyers for girls are easy to ignore. Don't be fooled by the fliers - the girl that shows up won't look anything like the one on the flier and prostitution is still illegal in Clark County (Las Vegas city limits).
Don't walk around at night on your own. South strip you're fine (basically Bellagio to Mandalay Bay) but that's not the best area.
Remember if you're under 21 you cannot stop in any gaming area. You can walk through a casino but you cannot play or stop and watch.
Do not be tempted to try to use a fake ID. You'll regret it very VERY quickly.
Vegas buffets used to be legendary, now they're all pretty meh. On the strip one of the best is at Treasure Island, but they're slowly being phased out. If you're looking for really good food, try the diner in Mirage (it's right next to the Love theater), the Rainforest Cafe in the MGM or anything in Mandalay.

Very true, you are down on the real people side of the strip, and around Circus Circus you will get yourself robbed quickly. Also for Buffets you can catch the all seafood buffet at the Rio, it is a little pricey, but the selection is great, the Monte Carlo is pretty good also, if you want to go all out, hit the Wynn Buffet, it is great but high dollar.
Never fear there is In and Out burger near, AGAIN dont eat at the Mc Donalds neat the event....please your bowels will thank you for that.

I'd also add that you need to be very careful about your gear at all times, even in your hotel room.
Trust me, there will be people around the hotel and even watching for opportunities to get your stuff. Be vigilant.

Very good advise. While I am not at the event I have been to Vegas. Buffets really are overprices. Some are ok but there isn't anything great. You can go to restraunts and pay 30 and get a good meal or pay 25 and get an ok meal at the buffet.
Fake IDs don't fly in Vegas. I have had one taken away. Bounces get paid per ID the get so they are really looking out for them.
Overall though Vegas is a really fun place to be, if your under 21 there isn't as much to do, but that will keep you focused on playing anyways.

Man... it sounds like Vegas is more of a pain in the *** than anything for players under 21. I'm curious on the percentage of players that are under 21 that are playing.

Since were talking about buffets and all. If you are a seafood person I HIGHLY suggest RIO buffet. The entry for the buffet I believe is $30-40 dollars but they serve the best seafood. From crabs to lobster to sushi. OH MAN IT IS THE BOMB!!! YA DIGG!!!

I agree vegas really sucks if you aren't 21 I rember when I was younger and played hockey we used to go out there every year for a hockey tournament parents would get drunk and gamble while the only thing we could do was walk around and collect as many of those nudy fliers as possible. I remeber when I would always get back i'd go and stick the nudy cards in the slots of my schools locker got a good laugh seeing girls open their lockers and seeing a naked chick on a playing card. I'm still really suprised they decided to hold the event in vegas considering most players are under 21.
If any of you minors really get bored there are things you can do that haven't been metioned mgm grand has a cool lil amusment park and arcade. And there are a couple other hotels that have some sick rides and arcades

If you have transport, head west on Charleston and check out the Red Rock hotel. It's a fairly long drive on surface streets or you can take w/m 215 from 15 by the airport.
