Trouble Playing DVD on laptop

Anyone else having trouble playing the DVD on their laptop

Ive tried VLC and it plays for about five minutes then freezes and says it's buffering

I'm using latest version of VLC, just want to make sure there is nothing wrong with the DVD

Windows media player fully updated is fail also...doesn't even recognize DVD with that one

Does the CK2 DVD work in other players/computers? Do other DVD's play in the laptop?

I have no idea what VLC is, but give WinDVD or PowerDVD a try, as those are actual DVD decoding programs.

Make sure that the DVD itself does play somewhere. Even replicated, some DVDs are just bad.

Played on mine with VLC...

What type of laptop is it? I have a fairly weak 1.3ghz single core on mine but it played fine... watched parts of it on my flight back.

its a Dell Inspiron

Should be powerful enough to play it if your laptop could play it

Well mine is a fairly new CULV type processor, but anyways... you said it played back CK1 on the same setup so CK2 should be no different... if it plays back in other systems then the DVD isn't the problem so I'm not sure I guess.

I'd just try it again if you haven't already...

ok it officially won't play on my laptop using any of the known DVD players fully updated

going to try watching it straight through on an XBox360 later to see if I can watch it

Before when I said it worked on a XBox360 and Macbook I just jumped to a random segment of the movie, don't actually know if it will play all the way through
