there are only two exeptions, bigger paint fly's farther because it maintains its inertial force longer than smaller paint (to a certain extent), and apex/flatline barrels make paint fly farther by imparting spin on the ball.

290 fps on .679 bore paint will not fly as far as 290 fps on .690 bore paint since the .690 will have more inertia to go on once it leaves the barrel.

I am a big nit picker when people say one marker is more accurate than another, or one marker shoots farther than another

You are right, but the weight difference would be negligible, due to the other variables such as air and wind resistance. With the .690 bore, with would actually be hindered by its size due to more air resistance acting upon it, because of the larger surface area. But again, the fact of the matter is that is if two different guns shoot the same paint with the same barrel, neither will shoot farther than the other.

Hopefully the ASA issue is addressed before the production models 'hit the shelves,' since I am worried about Dye customer service offering a fix for the problem.

The ASA issues has definitely been addressed. All NT's that leave the factory have the corrected ASA. If you have one of the first NT's that needs a revised ASA, please don't hesitate to call us for a replacement. We'd definitely want the old ASA back, as we don't want those floating around.

So I have a question what is the stock out of the box BPS set @ in semi with the eyes on is it 10-12 ?

As per my manual..the factory setting is 12.5 bps.

I switched the red cap for the blue cap, and sound is definetly lower. But not an issue regardless... Marker is sick.
