I spent the day there today. Had a great time as usual. There were 3 groups other than ours there So I'd say they are going now.

Hanyou, you had some info on Pierre on another thread. Are you from that way? if so do you ever run into Paul Herman (Pierre Pressure) out that way?

Do they have an actual site somewhere? What do they have for fields?

The site is http://www.paintthefarm.com/ and Bruce has several fields as you will see on the site. (I do need to get on Neal to keep it more up to date though ) Fields vary from "woods" ball style with trenches, a built up crater and a fort, to a field with 8-10 trailer houses. One of my favorites is a speedball style field with the bunkers being 4' X 4' X 8' tall plywood squares turned so the corners are pointing toward the teams (diamond field) This field is around 15 years old and Bruce keeps thinking of fun new things to add, like a large tower in the center of the fields for this year.

Yeah, I am from Pierre itself. The name sounds familiar but I wasnt aware there was a team still in town once Vince, Gene, and Gill closed up shop. Awesome to hear Bridgewater is up and going though, definitely be playing there soon -- best field in South Dakota so far imo (short of raining every single day ive ever played there ).

Paul is from the old days. One of the first fields in Pierre. We were playing together around 20 years ago, he was the team captain of Pierre Pressure and was instrumental in starting the NPUC series. Last I knew he was a delivery man for Miller and on both the Fire Dept. and the search and rescue dive team. All around great guy (even if most wives didn't agree).

Did he happen to play on a team with Brian Hettinger? If that is the same team then it would explain why the name is so familiar... Hettinger got me into the sport and sold me my first gun.. Reffed my first I29 in Bridgewater in fact..

If he did it was after I left the team but that would be very possible as the team members were spread out quite a bit and they may have used more local players toward the end.

sorry this took me so long... i have been kinda out of it lately

when where you out there? i am one of the reffs out there and i do my best to keep the cheating out of the game.

Bruce usualy keeps the air tanks decently full and if its filling low just let one of the reffs know... we can open another if needed. yes a compressor would be good... but they arent cheap.

we have had alittle trouble with some of the "regulars" lately and believe me i am working on stoping the poor sportsmanship/cockyness coming from it.

with all that said this is a big field, we do our best to catch everything but we can't be everywhere. if any cheating or questionable playing is seen on the field or off please, PLEASE, let any one of the reffs know.

If you or anybody else have any more questions please feel free to PM me and i will answer to the best of my abilities
