Depends on how much you shoot. I'd plan to shoot at least 2 cases, better to be safe than sorry.

I did 1.5 cases in 2007, 1 case in 2008, and about a half case this year using a DM5. Plan on 2 cases max, you won't even go through 2 cases of paint. For the last 3 years I've told myself I would play stock class for the main game but never ended up doing it. This year, I WILL play stock class for the main game.

well i will be there for the main game and the final game on sunday. i will come with enough money to buy 4 cases of paint.. ill probably spend some time in the speedball area if i have time. and i just found out if i pull some good grades all year my mom will buy my plane ticket.
so $330 will get me in the game and buy my 4 cases.
how much more $ should i have for buying things like food and water and other essentials...
also how good are the deals that they apparently have on markers and other equipment.. any examples of something you saw or bought
p.s. some how at the place i play paintball its $40 a case for good paint... so $65 is alot for me.

www.ddayadventurepark.com is the place you should really be asking this. The site has extensive, large forums for everything D-day. What to expect, what to bring, how much money to bring, how much paint, gear, water, food, ect...all can be found on the main site or asked on the forums.
Good luck & see you in '10!

Like most said - 2 cases should be plenty. I played on Thursday's game and Saturday's game and shot 2 cases between both days - with 1/2 case being shot on Thursday. Honestly next year I'm going to play mechanical or pump - the kills are so plentiful there's no reason to need electric firepower.

I played with 2 cases- and had to hold back. and I played with a mech tippmann for the main game. I also only got in one mini and didn't shoot much there either.
It really depends on how you usually shoot. assume that if you shoot a case a day in walk on play, you'll need about three times that for the main game, and probably another case or so for the minis.

I usually bring about $500 with me to cover 2 cases of paint(this year was 4 due to uwl) and cover crap I need when I get there. I also go into town for my water and drinks. Its cheaper then buying at the field and less to pack down there.
The best deals are found on saturday after the big game cause the vendors are packing up and dont want to take it all with them. Sunday can be good if anyone is still open.

Paint depends on how you play. I played pump for all the mini games during the week and only used a case. Then on Saturday I played semi and used a case and a half.

seven dust works great for ticks and such, but still have some spray for when your out in the game areas. I also like to bring a small mower to knock down the grass at camp.

It's not a big deal, but there is a $5.00 "field fee" in addition to $70.00 preregistration.
Although you may only be there for a couple of days, bring at least four gallons of water for yourself. You should plan on bringing a camelbak (which you can pick up at Academy Sports for $20.00) and going through it at least once on Saturday.
Some of the deals are excellent, some so-so. A couple of years ago, there were some off-brand cockers for $30.00 IIRC.

D-Day Cafe has decent burgers + fries for about $6.00. A couple of other stands have about the same prices. It's still quite a bit less expensive to bring your own victuals as you suggest. I still plan on a couple of trips to the vendors' area when I am too tired too cook. The beef jerky and power bars are excellent to pack to eat during the Big Game.

This is excellent advice. DEET on your clothes and dog collars taped onto your boots your ankles should do the job.

Sevin dust is superb for sprinkling around the campsite but DEET is better for your clothes. Use as close to 100% DEET as you can find, but spray that onto your clothes and let it dry overnight before you put on your clothes. It will last through a couple of washings. The camps should be better mowed for 2010.

Amen to that. In 2010, before I pack out for Dday, I'm putting in a big order from that beef jerky place that was running an add here on PBN. they had jerky energy sticks and the stuff I like with the crushed red pepper. oh man. I'm hungry now from just typing that.
