This place has failed to excite me in the least bit of combat operations. Honestly I excepted more from the "Taliban". Ive seen nothing here that I didnt see in Iraq.

All depends on where you are in country. When I was out in Iraq all the fighting was south of Baghdad, and all the dudes up north were complaining about how boring and gay the deployment was while we lost 53 dudes. To make a blanket statement about an entire country with 70,000 American troops, with the US taking plenty of casualties is pretty ignorant. You just got sent to a somewhat chill AO.

My unit was the first to cross the border in '03, and the first into Baghdad. I know what you guys are going through. Just take it one day at a time and try to get as many of your guys back as possible.
Trust me it isn't as bad as you think. If you guys have showers, beds, and hot food... be thankful.. lol
