best dwell setting

i just put a 360 QEV in my ion and was wondering if anyone knew the best setting for the dwell.

every ion is different. do u have an aftermarket bolt? this is posted everywhere but ill still help you. my ion did a good dwell at 16. but that doesnt mean yours will. start from the bottom and slowly go up until it starts cycling. then go up a few over that. that should set u a good dwell. start at 10 and then slowly go up. if it barely does anything jump up about 4 then try that. then go up 1 and so forth.

i have a stock bolt. but i put it at 16 worked good went couple higher and couldnt get rebound working. so i lowered to 17 and works perfect. thanks

just ot warn you since u have a stock bolt u will cause alot of wear on the back oring. i would highly suggest getting a new bolt sometime soon.

thanks for the tip. i did plan on buying a new one here soon plus a new board. prolly that Virtue OLED board plus a couple other things.
