Inoviq 2.5 conundrum

lets see if the FEP wizards (all of you) can figure this out.

and yes i have a copy of the manual on my desk and have read it.

- i have a brand new Inoviq 2.5 board and new eyes in my 07, turn marker on eyes register and wont shot with out paint, as a proper working ACE should.. load paint, shoot paint and at some point in the whole shooting process the ACE stops working, hopper runs dry and it starts dry firing, i thought it would be my palm hitting the button putting it into "eyes off" mode, but even when i chicken wing it without my palm on the grip frame it does it...

we need a little better explination,

your shooting. eyes on. everythings good. then at some point it switches to eyes off? with paint still in it, or it switches to eyes off without paint?

it switches off with paint in it, being loaded into the breech, while i am shooting it the eyes default to off.

Check your power button. Even if you are not pushing it, make sure it isnt being squished or anything like that. I'm assuming you checked out your breech and its nice and clean?

change battery

what is the status on your DIP switch?

also, when the eyes fail, what color is the LED showing?

Any paint or other dirt on the board - you could have a short occurring.

Any obviously loose components on the board?

Any loose wires in the harness or pins in the board sockets? A very brief power off might possibly effect the eye without actually powering down the board, and that could occur with a power harness that is on it's last legs - old stock Quest wiring is notorious for being a bit fragile.

You might want to contact nwong and see if this is an isue that he is aware of with any of the Inoviq boards.

I have 3 of these boards with the 2.5 programming, no issues whatsoever. I have been running these for well over a year now.
