slight hissing sound

i just got a PMI traccer in a trade, when i air it up theres a slight hissing sound coming from the tube (boxed in pic) i checked the orings and that, oiled it up and it still hisses. it still shoots but idk if this problem will get any worse.

Assuming it's hissing while it's not cocked it could be...

1) spring tension. a weak valve spring combined with a strong main spring (or dialed in all the way adjustable bolt).

2) bad cup seal inside the valve.

or if it hisses when you pump the pump back for a brief second, then you're low on air. Not enough air pressure to hold the power tube shut until the sear catches the hammer.

But I'm no expert. Let's see what others have to say.

the cup seal often comes loose on mine, tighten it up and use some blue locktight

The only seal that really LEAKS on those guns is the cup seal. Same is true with any nelson. Cup seal could be loose, or simply worn out. You can fiddle with it and try to get it to seat or replace it.

Or the valve spring is too weak but that is unlikely unless you were swapping things around.
