ha to smart parts. Those asa's are terrible in comparison. Mainly because it's strictly and on/off with no purge/bleed valve. Also because some have been know to chew the craw our of tank threads.

I haven't used WGP or empire's asa so I have no opinion related to those, but the ones I have liked the most are Bob Long's cam drive and gear drive asa as well as the Hybrid one I used to have.

CPs are the most popular though and work quite well.

CP on/offs work beautifully, as well as Dangerous Power's RAPS system. When looking for an on/off just try and find something with a purge/bleed valve.

I have an Empire Nano on mine, I had a CP one previously, But I would say they are both good quality, and well worth the money, I just wanted something small hence the nano asa

The RAPS is great, the only downside I've found to them is that it can be a little tricky to get a fingernail in to flip the lever.

yeah I had the same problem with mine, especially when wearing gloves forget about it.

I am very happy with my dye OOPS (barely have to turn it at all) and of course my 07 ego OOPS =D

I wouldn't go with SP or WGP (torpedo model) neither will bleed the air off

I have a CP & macdev and like both (especially the Macdev, but they're expensive)
The raps ASA from DP is neat, but some like it more than others
The Redz ASA is nice but after a year of play it gave out & I had to alter it to make it work good when I purchased it.
BoB longs ASA with the dial on the bottom is great too
The Empire Nano looks like a good one, but I've never tried it

I use a PE OOPS, like you would find on some Egos. Has purge, easy to turn, good ASA overall.

I owna CP on an Autococker and it is good quality. The Smart Parts that came with my Ion is terrible about messing up the threads not only on the asa but also my Dye tank.

I have a NDZ on my Ion, and 2 CP's. I would recommend a CP. The NDZ works great but I have broken one before. The aluminum is very thin at the rails and will split. The CP's seem better made overall. I would recommend a CP direct mount. The new ones are small and work awesome.

There are two types of CP on/offs. There is one that directly mounts to the grip frame like this one

http://www.actionvillage.com/031-138-0048

You will not need anything else to install that one onto your gun.

However, with this style

http://www.actionvillage.com/031-6220-01

You will also need a rail to install it. Like this one:

I own all 3 of those. I love both setups but the first one is easier and stronger. I would do the direct mount.

The CP direct mount is the best asa ever made.

just make sure it is a direct mount and you should be fine. If you get a dovetail you'll need a rail such as the CP or Smart Parts SRail.
