so recently ive been interested in cooking and etc and i came across a youtube chef. his name is "Chef John" and his food seems legit. I came across one of his recipes

I hate when restaurants don't pound down the chicken, the chicken to sauce/cheese ratio is all wrong.. Spaghetti factory has the best chicken Parmesan ever.
I make mine like this(baked version):
-pound down a chicken breast
-dip in flour
-dip in egg wash
-coat it in breadcrumbs seasoned with grated Parmesan and salt and pepper
-put on a baking sheet and bake until cooked through out
-take out,and top with tomato sauce, and grated mozzarella
-allow to melt
-sprinkle with fresh chopped parsley
Made a smaller portion. 4 breasts. It was good, but I may have overcooked it. The sauce got watery, too.
I'm planning on making a larger pan like in the video very soon.

no, the breadcrumbs will be soggy. if you wanted it breaded, you would have to fry it first then put it in the oven.
edit* if you want, you can bread the chicken, put it on a rack on a baking sheet then cook it in the oven until golden brown, then add your sauce and cheese if you want a baked chicken parm.
