Nox Bolt Questions
Is the Nox Bolt worth to buy for the Luxe? Also, is it better to break in your Luxe then install the Nox Bolt or is it better to just install the Nox Bolt immediately when you get the Luxe? Also, does the Nox Bolt have a lot better efficiency then the stock bolt? If so, how much more efficient is the Nox Bolt then the stock bolt?

The nox bolt will not give you efficiency benefits. It will however greatly reduce the kick and sound signiature of the gun. It really is ridiculous, you litterally can't feel the gun move.

so, is it better to install the Nox Bolt when your luxe is new, or better to install the Nox Bolt after you break in your luxe

Install once the gun is broken in is what the naughty dogs do themselves

Break in your Luxe first too make sure all microscopic metal shavings are cycled out. Corey from Naughty dogs told me 6-10 cases on stock bolt, then after that period, install the NOX bolt.
I haven't shot enough to gauge efficiency, but I'll trust Tarzan that it isn't affected. No kick, faster cycling, and Ninja quietness

I've personally never had good luck with any bolt not made of aluminum. Since they are softer eventually they will scratch and begin to leak. I just don't believe they can hold up to the long term cycling of a paintball gun.

The front of the bolt is aluminum. The older Nox bolts for the shocker were all plastic and especially with speed feeds you would get some dirt in the gun and the bolt would get scratched. Third version for the Shocker and all the Luxe bolts have the alumium fronts. I've had mine for a year, playing almost every weeekend, and no issues.

I am no expert by any means but I installed my before I even shot the gun. It works great. I have had no problems at all and my gun is not broken in. So I would just try it and see.

you don't have to adjust the manifold with the nox it will reduce the kick any how.

when you spend 1600 on a luxe you really do get what you pay for. nox bolt-cool in theory but in reality it's useless. i dont care if you cn hear me on the field you will see me by that time or have been hit by me anyways

It's not just so the other team can't hear you, it's also so you can hear your teammates and vice versa.

actually it can come in handy. I've seen several instances where a quite gun helps. I've personally been stuck in a corner shooting tape and looked inside to see someone about to hang the flag and had not seen me, I then procedded to turn and light him up.

much agreed. I hated shooting my 08 ego for that very reason. It's hard to hear people on the field.
