It must be said.... again.
USPL AT SC VILLAGE WAS A HORRIFIC DISGRACE TO TOURNAMENT PAINTBALL!!
I have never seen a national tournament ran so horribly and be so boring and ghetto. If the other events are going to be like this one... this league is doomed.

was pretty small as far as vendors go... pits were nice though. actual running of games was eh. there was a LOT of downtime between games where nobody was playing, and empty fields. minimal center court seating, even vip wasnt fantastic even if i got in for free.

Maybe some players better think about the fact that only shawn walker has ever really had legit tournys.NPPL XPSL.The economy effected the sport.Hes back with the RPL and it is ran extremly well.It doesnt surprise me that this league is stinking it up!3&5 man is here for a while seven man may recover and it may not.

No!
Sean walker is NOT the reason for the NPPL and XPSL being what they were. If it were all on him, then the RPL would automatically be what the NPPL was don't you think? BUT it's not!
If you think that ANY tournament series today is going to attain the stature of what was the NPPL, you are SORELY mistaken. We will not see tournament ball like we used to for some time, simply because of the economic situation.

Agreed.RPL is affordable its an easy sell with the parents.I couldnt talk parents into backing any of the seven man leagues because its to expensive. The parents that went to the RPL event liked it!

ok I'm thinking this is one of the RPL spam accounts. To which I will say this
the WCPPL is cheaper and runs better than the RPL, and it doesn't have a snake named Sean Walker behind it, but rather someone that actually cares about the growth of paintball.

I will totally disagree with what you said about the RPL being such a great sell to parents. Most notably is the Division your team took 2nd place in only have 2 teams (so that's either last place if you are a realist or 2nd place if you are an optimist) If I'm not mistaken someone posted on PBN that their team took 2nd or 3rd, not sure what division, and only got paint as a prize!! Now how is that money well spent.
WCPPL, not like USPL, guarantees their prize package, regardless of the number of teams playing. Now if this isn't a better return for the money spent nothing is.
So as the person posted above WCPPL all the way!!!

I think if we can get the WCPPL through these tough economical times, it will be THE series to play (as if it isn't already? ), and might eventually go national.

I agree that we are all definitely behind Mike on making the WCPPL a bigger better tournament series. I like the fact the Mike puts in his time to go out and interact with all players and teams for there input on how the make the tournament scene better and Mike always try's to make each event better than the last.

So I should tell parents with fourteen year old boys who have no tournament experience to start in wcppl. Our teams out of bakersfield at some point may play wcppl but that league is for more experienced players. Most of the kids in this area are lucky to have two bags of paint to practice with.

why not? This is my 1st tournament series. And if you have only 2 bags of paint to practice, maybe you should reconsider playing tournament paintball, unless you are playing pump

Paintball is expensive sport and 1stGenRex is right if you only got 2 bags of paint then tournament paintball is not where you want to be.
